Unauthenticated database-name disclosure via login SQL injection
Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in Netentsec NS-ASG Application Security Gateway 6.3.1 allows remote attackers to read the database name via Login. The Login handler at /vpnweb/index.php?para=index accepts SQL syntax in check_VirtualSiteId and evaluates an updatexml(database()) payload that returns the database name. No authentication or user interaction is required; the public proof of concept demonstrates database-name disclosure but not broader database compromise.
