Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized ORDER BY
Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in Free and Open Source Inventory Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries. sell_return_data.php takes columns[0][data] directly from POST data and concatenates it as an ORDER BY identifier in a PDO prepared query without validation. Low-privileged application access is required, and injected SQL can read or modify database data or interrupt database-backed operations.
