Browser script execution via unsanitized download filename
Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Sep 9, 2024
Reflected XSS in Code Projects QR Code Generator 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script via the download.php file parameter. The download.php handler fails to sanitize the file value before reflecting it into an HTML response, so injected markup runs in the browser. A victim must follow a crafted URL; the script then executes in the affected site context and can access browser data available to that origin.
