CVE-2023-7138Public exploit

Database read and modification via injectable username

Published Dec 28, 2023 · Updated Apr 17, 2025

SQL injection in Code Projects Client Details System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data through the admin login. The /clientdetails/admin/ POST handler sends the username value into a MySQL query without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling error-based and time-based injection. The login request is processed before authentication, and the published proof of concept demonstrates retrieval of the current database name; wider compromise is not demonstrated.
