User post creation via unchecked cross-origin request
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
CSRF in Community by PeepSo before 6.3.1.2 allows remote attackers to create posts through a logged-in user's browser. The peepsoajax/postbox.post handler accepts a cross-origin POST carrying content and user identifiers without validating a CSRF token. The victim must be logged in and submit or automatically load the crafted form; success publishes attacker-chosen content on the victim's profile wall.
