Authenticated SQL execution via unparameterized medicine inputs
Published Dec 27, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Medicine Tracker System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via crafted POST data. The save_medicine function in classes/Master.php inserts the id, name, and description parameters directly into an SQL query without parameterization. A valid session is required, and the published time-delay payload demonstrates blind query execution against the application's MySQL database.
