CVE-2023-7114Network attack vector

Authenticated server actions via unsanitized deeplink paths

Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Sep 9, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Mattermost Mobile 2.10.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter server data via a deeplink. The mobile deeplink handler forwards an unsanitized path to the connected server, turning attacker-controlled link content into an authenticated request. A low-privileged attacker must persuade a signed-in mobile user to open the crafted link; the request can modify server data and cause limited disclosure or interruption.
