CVE-2023-7074Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Settings modification via missing CSRF nonce validation

Published Jan 29, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in WP Social Bookmark Menu 1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to change plugin settings via forged requests. The settings handler accepts the flag_save and position POST parameters without validating a WordPress nonce before saving the submitted values. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to load attacker-controlled content that submits the request, and the demonstrated consequence is an unauthorized position-setting change.
