Authenticated arbitrary file read via directory traversal
Published Jul 10, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Directory traversal in Advanced File Manager Shortcodes 2.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files. Wordfence and the vendor have not published the affected file, handler, parameter, or path-validation failure that permits traversal. Contributor-level WordPress access or higher is required, and exploitation exposes files readable by the web-server process, including sensitive configuration data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
