Unauthenticated device crash via spoofed loopback packets

Improper packet validation in Zephyr RTOS 3.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash devices with spoofed loopback traffic. The IPv4 and IPv6 input paths fail to discard packets arriving on an external interface when the source is loopback or matches a local address, causing replies to enter loopback processing and trigger a kernel assertion. Exploitation requires crafted traffic to reach the device despite upstream filtering and allows address-based access-control bypass or a system halt.
