CVE-2023-7059Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via unsanitized visitor name

Published Dec 22, 2023 · Updated Nov 21, 2024

Stored XSS in log-book.php in SourceCodester School Visitor Log e-Book 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via crafted visitor names. The visitor-entry handler stores the Full Name POST value without adequate sanitization, and the home page later renders it so injected code executes. An authenticated user must submit a crafted visitor name, and code runs only when another user opens the home page, enabling modification of page content in that user's browser.
