Temporary Ethernet denial of service via SYN flood

Resource exhaustion in Mitsubishi Electric FA product Ethernet functions allows remote attackers to interrupt communication with a TCP SYN flood. The Ethernet implementation retains finite connection-state resources for large volumes of incomplete TCP handshakes until the resource pool is exhausted. No authentication or user interaction is required; network reachability is sufficient, and Ethernet communication recovers after the temporary interruption.
