CVE-2023-7013Network attack vector

Security UI spoofing

Published Jul 16, 2024 · Updated Nov 25, 2024

Security UI spoofing in Google Chrome before 119.0.6045.105 allows remote attackers to falsify browser security indicators via crafted HTML. Google identifies the locus only as Compositing; the linked issue is restricted, so the incorrect rendering or layer-handling operation is not public. A user must open attacker-controlled HTML, and the reported consequence is deceptive security UI rather than code execution or service interruption.
