DNS answer manipulation via missing signature rejection

DNSSEC validation bypass in systemd-resolved on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and 9 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to alter DNS answers. With DNSSEC=yes, the resolver accepts unsigned A or AAAA records beneath a signed zone instead of rejecting the missing RRSIG data. An on-path attacker or malicious upstream resolver can redirect applications that use the accepted answer, while the reply remains marked unauthenticated.
