Contributor-level stored XSS via unsanitized form fields
Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Fluent Forms 5.1.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through HTML-supported form fields. The form editor stores insufficiently sanitized HTML-supported field values, and affected rendering paths output those values without adequate escaping. Form-creation permission is required—Contributor access can suffice when an administrator grants it, while the default gate is Administrator—and the script runs in a visitor's browser when the injected page is opened.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
