CVE-2023-6951Public exploit

Unauthorized Wi-Fi access via weak generated PSK

Published Apr 2, 2024 · Updated Sep 30, 2024

Weak credentials in DJI drone QuickTransfer firmware allow remote attackers to derive the Wi-Fi password and join the access point. The dji_network binary's generate_default_passwd() function creates one persistent eight-character hexadecimal WPA2 key with libc random(), leaving about 4.3 billion candidates. QuickTransfer Mode must be activated, and remote attackers within Wi-Fi range can crack the key, access exposed services, and decrypt captured traffic.
