GitLab token disclosure via whitespace-bypassed redaction
Published Jan 4, 2024 · Updated Nov 20, 2025
Sensitive information disclosure in Red Hat Developer Hub allows remote authenticated users to expose a configured GitLab access token. WinstonLogger registers the newline-terminated secret without trimming it, so the normalized token in an invalid-header error bypasses redaction before reaching the frontend. Exploitation requires a GitLab integration token with trailing whitespace and a catalog operation that raises the error; disclosure grants the token's configured GitLab permissions.
