Authenticated arbitrary file upload via insufficient type validation
Published Feb 5, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Unlimited Addons for WPBakery Page Builder 1.0.42 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write server files. The importZipFile function performs insufficient file-type validation on uploaded files, allowing dangerous file types to be stored on the site. Access requires a role granted plugin access by an administrator—Editor by default or Contributor if permitted—and a server-executable upload enables remote code execution when processed.
