Service interruption via unbounded API storage consumption
Published Dec 20, 2023 · Updated Feb 23, 2026
Resource exhaustion in M-Files Server before 23.12.13195.0 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service through an API. The vendor identifies an API method that permits storage consumption without an enforced limit, allowing requests to fill server storage. A valid vault account, or a vault with anonymous authentication enabled, is required; exhaustion prevents the server from serving requests.
