Post metadata disclosure via unrestricted shortcode key
Published Apr 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in WPFactory EAN for WooCommerce 4.9.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read post metadata. The alg_wc_ean_product_meta shortcode passes an attacker-controlled metadata key to get_post_meta without restricting retrieval to product metadata. Contributor-level access and the ability to publish shortcode content are required, and disclosure is limited to metadata accessible through the targeted post.
