Unauthenticated public-resource access via crafted API request
Published Dec 21, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper authentication in GitHub Enterprise Server allows remote attackers to access public resources through a crafted API request. The Private Mode enforcement path accepts the crafted request without requiring authentication for resources scoped as public. The instance must be network-reachable and configured in Private Mode; exposure is limited to resources marked public on that instance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=3.10.0 <3.10.4
- Affected versionversion=3.11.0 <3.11.1
