CVE-2023-6793Network attack vector

XML API disruption via unauthorized key revocation

Published Dec 13, 2023 · Updated Dec 2, 2024

Improper privilege management in PAN-OS allows remote authenticated users to revoke active XML API keys and interrupt XML API access. The XML API authorizes a read-only administrator to invalidate active API keys despite the role's intended restrictions. Exposure requires enabled XML API access and read-only administrator credentials; the bounded consequence is loss of active API sessions.
