Stored XSS via unescaped Product Key setting
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 19, 2025
Stored XSS in the Product Key setting of WolfNet IDX for WordPress 1.19.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The setting stores unsanitized input and renders it without output escaping, causing a crafted SVG event handler to execute when the settings page is revisited. Administrator-level access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled.
