CVE-2023-6729

Configuration compromise via overbroad SFTP filesystem access

Published Oct 17, 2024 · Updated Oct 17, 2024

Incorrect access control in Nokia SR OS before Release 24 allows local users with console access to read or replace router files via SFTP or SCP. The SFTP and SCP authorization path treats the access console permission as authority over the entire Compact Flash or SD-card file system, bypassing CLI command controls. A low-privilege account configured with access console is required; replacing configuration or other files can compromise the router or interrupt service after reboot.
