CVE-2023-6710Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unneutralized virtual-host alias

Published Dec 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 20, 2025

Stored XSS in mod_proxy_cluster on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser. The module accepts an unneutralized alias value when registering a new virtual host and later renders that value on the cluster-manager page. An attacker needs access to the protected manager interface, and execution requires another authenticated user to view the poisoned page.
