Administrator-level arbitrary file upload via missing type validation
Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in WPSoul Greenshift 7.6.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to place dangerous files on the WordPress server. The gspb_save_files function writes administrator-supplied files to the affected server without first validating their file types. Administrator-level capabilities are required, and execution of an uploaded file by the server turns the arbitrary write into remote code execution.
