Unauthenticated code execution via user-controlled PHP callbacks
Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Command injection in ThimPress LearnPress 4.2.5.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute PHP functions without authentication. The load_content_via_ajax REST route passes attacker-controlled callback and argument values through get_content to call_user_func without restricting the callable. Any public callable accepting one argument can be invoked, and available object-gadget chains permit commands to run under the WordPress server account.
