CVE-2023-6633Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Admin note deletion via forged POST request

Published Jan 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 7, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Site Notes 2.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete administration notes via a forged POST request. The ajax-calls.php endpoint processes attacker-supplied note identifiers and the DELETEALL!! command without validating a CSRF nonce. An administrator must open attacker-controlled HTML while logged in, after which the request deletes notes for the selected WordPress post.
