Unauthenticated file inclusion via overwritten template path
Published Jan 15, 2024 · Updated Jun 11, 2025
Local file inclusion in ReviewX Team Essential Blocks before 4.4.3 allows remote attackers to include server files through the REST API. The template renderer passes REST-supplied data to PHP extract() without EXTR_SKIP, letting __file replace the path later passed to include. No account is required; parsing and code execution depend on the selected local file and server configuration.
