CVE-2023-6617Public exploit

SQL injection via unsanitized class_id

Published Dec 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 28, 2024

SQL injection in Simple Student Attendance System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database data via attendance.php class_id. The attendance.php handler uses the class_id request argument in a database query without adequate input neutralization, allowing injected SQL syntax to change query behavior. Exploitation requires an authenticated account reachable over an adjacent network, and the published assessment bounds impacts to limited confidentiality, integrity, and availability effects.
