Stored script execution via unsanitized logo option
Published Dec 8, 2023 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Typecho 1.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through a theme logo setting. The theme-options handler stores attacker-controlled logo markup and renders it in /admin/options-theme.php without adequate output neutralization. Administrator privileges are required to submit the setting, and another user must open the affected theme-options page for the script to run in that browser.
