Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked file upload
Published Feb 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 9, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in Eyecix Technologies JobSearch WP Job Board before 2.3.4 allows remote attackers to write PHP files to the server. The unauthenticated jobsearch_facebook_get_soc_login_url AJAX action accepts PHP content in the user_data picture field and stores it as shell.php without file-type validation. No WordPress account or user interaction is required, and the resulting server-side PHP file can execute attacker-supplied code.
