Account takeover via unverified Facebook identity data
Published Feb 27, 2024 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Authentication bypass in Eyecix Technologies JobSearch WP Job Board before 2.3.4 allows remote attackers to access any account by email. The unauthenticated jobsearch_facebook_get_soc_login_url AJAX action accepts attacker-supplied Facebook user data and selects a local user by email without verifying the external identity. Knowledge of an account email is sufficient to obtain that account's WordPress session, including an administrator session.
