CVE-2023-6578Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated information disclosure via referrer-based access control

Published Dec 7, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Improper access control in Software AG webMethods 10.11.x and 10.15.x allows remote attackers to disclose server details over HTTP. The wm.server/connect resource bases access on referrer and path-navigation state, serving protected /assets/ content after a canceled credential prompt or failed child-path request. No account is required; successful requests reveal internal IP addresses, ports, versions, and protected asset data, while the published low-integrity effect is not further described.
