ReDoS in GitLab before 16.10.6, 16.11 before 16.11.3, and 17.0 before 17.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. An inefficient regular expression in the wiki render path performs excessive backtracking on crafted page content, consuming application CPU. Low-privileged access is required to submit the page; the resulting resource exhaustion degrades GitLab web availability.
