Denial of service in GitLab CE/EE allows remote authenticated users to degrade an instance through the chat integration feature. The chat integration path evaluates attacker-controlled input with an inefficient regular expression, causing excessive resource consumption; GitLab has not published the affected expression or function. Affected releases are 16.7.7 through 16.8.5, 16.9 through 16.9.3, and 16.10 through 16.10.1; a valid low-privilege account is required, and the bounded impact is service degradation.
