Reflected XSS via unfiltered deletion error
Published Dec 1, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in SourceCodester User Registration and Login System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script in a victim's browser. The user parameter reaches an exception message that delete-user.php line 32 echoes into the response without output filtering or encoding. Access to the administrator user-deletion workflow and victim interaction with a crafted request are required; the bounded consequence is script execution in the application's browser origin.
