Stored XSS via unencoded FirstRecord parameter
Published Nov 30, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in BigProf Software Online Inventory Manager 3.2 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via transactions_view.php FirstRecord. The transactions_view.php handler fails to encode the user-controlled FirstRecord parameter before rendering it, allowing a stored script payload to execute in browsers loading the transaction page. Remote attackers can submit the payload, and execution requires a victim to load the affected page; the documented impact is script-driven confidentiality and integrity loss without an identified service outage.
