Unauthenticated password disclosure via validation response
Published Jan 1, 2024 · Updated Jun 18, 2025
Information disclosure in W3 Eden WordPress Download Manager before 3.2.83 allows remote attackers to obtain protected-file passwords. The validate-password REST endpoint returns a JSON op value containing the protected-file password even when the submitted password is invalid. A reachable password-protected download and its file identifier are required; the disclosed password grants access to that protected content.
