Controller compromise through unverified channel messages
Published Feb 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper message-integrity enforcement in Schneider Electric EcoStruxure software and Modicon PLCs allows remote attackers to compromise controllers. Schneider Electric has not published the specific communication channel, message type, or integrity check that fails to reject manipulated traffic. A network-positioned man-in-the-middle attacker can interfere with controller communications without credentials, causing data disclosure, unauthorized changes, or a service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
