Stored XSS via unsanitized device-group values
Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Progress WhatsUp Gold before 2023.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a device-group value. The device-group workflow stores an attacker-supplied value and later renders it without neutralizing executable script. The attacker needs permission to modify a device group, and execution occurs only when another WhatsUp Gold user interacts with the stored payload.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
