CVE-2023-6364Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unsanitized dashboard payload

Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Stored XSS in Progress WhatsUp Gold before 2023.1 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in other users' browsers. A Dashboard component stores an attacker-crafted XSS payload and later returns it without sufficient neutralization when another user interacts with the component. The attacker needs high privileges to store the payload, and a victim must interact with it before execution occurs in the victim's browser context.
