CVE-2023-6357Network attack vector

Authenticated command injection via file libraries

Published Dec 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

OS command injection in CODESYS Control runtimes before 4.11.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands through file libraries. SysFile and CAA-File library calls accept attacker-influenced input and permit injection of additional shell functions. Exploitation requires low-privileged PLC programmer authentication over the network and can grant full control of the device.
