CVE-2023-6329Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrative access via predictable passwordCustom credentials

Published Nov 27, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Authentication bypass in Control iD iDSecure 4.7.32.0 allows remote attackers to obtain administrative access via crafted login values. The iDS-Core.dll login routine discloses the server serial, derives passwordCustom from that serial and attacker-chosen passwordRandom, and accepts the result as an administrative operator login. No credentials or user interaction are required; successful login resets the built-in admin password and returns an administrative access token.
