Published Dec 18, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Authentication bypass in Theme My Login 2FA before 1.2 allows remote authenticated users to complete login by brute-forcing six-digit codes. The plugin's 2FA validation path accepts unlimited code submissions without throttling or locking the challenge after repeated failures. A target's valid username and password are required, and a successful guess grants that account's WordPress privileges.
