CVE-2023-6263Network attack vector

Access hijacking via duplicate VMS server identifiers

Published Nov 22, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Authentication bypass in Network Optix Nx Cloud before 23.1.0.40440 allows remote attackers to hijack user access to VMS servers. Nx Cloud accepts a fake VMS server that reuses a legitimate server's exact identifier, then sends connecting clients' authorization headers to the impostor. Exploitation requires a legitimate client to connect to the fake server and exposes reusable authorization data for man-in-the-middle access hijacking.
