CVE-2023-6253Public exploit

Defense removal via cached uninstall key

Published Nov 22, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Sensitive-data storage in Digital Guardian Agent before 7.9.4 allows local users to recover the uninstall key from the Windows MSI. The cached installer preloads the key into the uninstaller and retains it in process memory, where debugging reveals it. Administrative access is required to use the recovered key with Terminator.exe, which stops agent processes and permits complete removal.
