Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in EventON 4.5.4 and earlier and EventON Lite 2.2.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter settings. The save_virtual_event_settings function accepts a forged administrative request because its nonce validation is missing or incorrect. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to be induced to submit the request, after which virtual-event settings can be modified.
