CVE-2023-6236Network attack vector

Cross-tenant access via cached OIDC token reuse

Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Nov 20, 2025

Authentication bypass in Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 8.0 allows remote attackers to cross OIDC tenant boundaries. OidcSessionTokenStore validates cached-token reuse against the realm but omits the provider-url, so a token cached for one tenant is accepted for another provider configuration. Exposure requires a multitenant OIDC application with distinct provider URLs; the reused session bypasses the expected second login and permits access under the cached identity.
