Course-progress disclosure via unchecked userID key
Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
IDOR in LearnPress 4.2.5.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read another user's course progress through a REST request. The course-tab endpoint trusts the user-controlled userID key without confirming that it identifies the requesting account. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the response exposes another user's course-progress details without permitting modification.
